Alien Pixel Studios‘ puzzle-platformer Unbound: Worlds Apart draws players into other worlds quite literally.

The first time I saw this game was on the second day of gamescom 2020, obviously in digital form, and it made quite an impression visually, which is no surprise, considering that it’s the Unreal Engine 4 that makes it shine. Playing as young mage Soli, one has to destroy an evil entity that tears reality apart.

Soli is able to manipulate time and gravity, gain super strength, and perform other actions that are connected to the unique properties of the worlds. So one doesn’t only have to make precise jumps, but think in other dimensions to survive the ordeals in the forms of traps, monsters, and bosses.

The game is out now on PC and Nintendo Switch with a 15% launch discount that lasts until August 4, 2021, at 5 PM UTC.
