Blazing Griffin and Microids‘ adventure game Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases offers some classic whodunnit moments.

After both companies were already featured in today’s GOG release: “Murder Mystery Machine” article, it’s only fitting to discuss their latest cooperation here, featuring Agatha Christie’s famous detective in one of his first adventure: a murder in the Van den Bosch family taking place during the announcement of the daughter getting married. With many suspects and a snowstorm preventing anyone from leaving, it’s an obviously good premise for an investigation.

Of course every family member has something to hide, and it’s up to Poirot or rather the player to interrogate all suspects while finding clues which then have to be linked up in a mindmap. This deduction process might not be new, especially for those who have played the Sherlock Holmes games, but it’s still good to know that classic murder mysteries are still kept alive by companies like Microids.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch in both digital and retail form (only the console versions, with the US ones being released on October 5, 2021). The soundtrack can be bought individually and has a 10% launch discount that lasts until October 4, 2021, at 5 PM UTC. If one is interested in more adventure games published by Microids, then one should check out the current GOG promo sale with lots of discounted titles.
