Game release: “Concordia: Digital Edition” (PC, iOS, Android)

Acram Digital‘s board game adaptation Concordia: Digital Edition rebuilds the ancient Roman Empire with cards.

Strategy games set in older times are certainly nothing new, and the Roman Empire always seems to be a great fit for them, too. However, this time it seems that fighting isn’t in the cards (pun intended), as one conquers the world by building a trade empire.

Every action in this turn-based strategy game depends on what the cards in one’s hand have to offer, e.g. building houses, sending out colonists or trading goods to expand the empire. This might also have an undesired positive effect on the opposition, so thinking multiple steps ahead is essential to win. Of course playing with 2 to 6 human players is the way to go, but it’s also possible to compete against an AI.

The game is out now on PC, Android and iOS with a 12% launch discount that lasts until October 5, 2021, at 10 AM UTC.
