Epic Games Store free game: “Europa Universalis IV”

Epic Games Store‘s latest freebie is Paradox Interactive‘s historical strategy game Europa Universalis IV.

Despite the second game in the long-running series having been a GOG free game a year ago, Europa Universalis IV hasn’t been featured so far, and it clearly shows how time flows by with the 8th anniversary trailer for the fourth instalment. Of course gameplay remains largely the same with the aim of leading a nation to global domination by either trading or battling one’s way to the top throughout the centuries. Exploration as well as diplomacy are a given, while teaching about history is a nice side effect, too.

The game can be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until October 7, 2021, at 5:00 PM.
