Game release: “Grotto” (PC)

Brainwash Gang and Digerati‘s narrative game Grotto is all about the power of words and premonitions.

It’s rather difficult to describe into what category the title falls, as it’s not a typical adventure or visual novel game, despite heavily focusing on storytelling and making choices. Playing as the Soothsayer, one has to guide a tribe to its unseen future by interpreting the stars.

Depending how one deciphers the different constellations as well as using other ritualistic means, like reading bones or contacting people who died, the tribespeople might face happy or not so happy moments, which can even result in death. It’s certainly a unique concept to get one’s head around, but this makes it stick out from other narrative experiences for sure.

The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that lasts until November 2, 2021, at 6 PM UTC.
