Game release: “Hammerting” (PC)

Warpzone Studios and Team17‘s dwarven mining colony sim Hammerting has left the darkness of early access.

The main idea is already genius: Whenever a war is going on, weapons are required, which is also the case in this fantasy world where a clan of dwarves tries to make a living and a name for themselves with forging these tools of destruction underground for the Overworld.

Supply and demand or rather riches are the driving force behind the mining operation, as the little people are tasked to craft swords and other weapons, but sometimes even a crown for a coronation. Every dwarf has its strengths and weaknesses, but each character can be leveled up and trained to do a better job, which also holds true for expanding one’s base of operation. All this has to be taken into account when going deeper into the mines to find the necessary materials, which might also mean putting a fight at times to make it out alive.

The game entered early access in October 2020 and is now finally out on PC with a 33% launch discount that lasts until November 30, 2021, at 5 PM UTC.
