Epic Games Store‘s freebie of the week is Marvelous and XSEED Games‘ mecha action game DAEMON X MACHINA.
DAEMON X MACHINA is a great example of how stylish and epic some games can be without overcomplicated gameplay. While there is a story about a mercenary for the Orbital organization who defends humanity against corrupted AIs called Immortals, it’s simply an excuse to pilot the big Arsenal mech.
The Immortals are an impressive bunch to go up against, so salvaging smaller enemies for parts and weapons to customize the mech or even modify one’s own body is essential to beat them, resulting in some over-the-top anime-style action sequences.
The game can be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until February 3, 2022, at 5:00 PM.
