Game release: “Hirilun” (PC)

Gone Mad Studios and Meridian4‘s first-person platformer Hirilun offers a unique monochrome look at parkour sports.

The publisher’s portfolio has quite an interesting selection of games from different genres, as could be seen in the GOG releases 3 games from Meridian4 article and more recently the GOG release of The Dark Prophecy. Hirilun again proves that the company knows what it means to stick out of the indie games crowd.

The game is set in a black-and-white city that is used as a playground for parkour enthusiasts, so running and jumping without stopping is the order of the day. Being as fast as possible to pass all the checkpoints and reach the goal in time is essential, with different paths one can choose, even if it means that motion sickness can become a problem. This is a shame because the game looks as different as Mirror’s Edge (see the GOG release news) did all those years ago.

The game is out now on PC with a 20% launch discount that lasts until tomorrow, March 21, 2022, at 6 PM UTC.
