GOG weekend sale: “Exciting split-screen and co-op games”

GOG’s new weekend sale brings people closer together with its co-op games.

There’s nothing better than relaxing on the couch (chair or even bed) and playing games together that often require communication, something a few media outlets that don’t understand games usually overlook. So GOG’s newest promo sale comes just in time to prove that despite the pandemic, if safety and hygiene procedures are taken seriously, a lot of fun can be had with people in one place or room. If this isn’t possible, then there are also other co-op titles that can be played via the internet.

Here are a few recommendations, some of which might already have made an appearance in other sales, but which are still worth mentioning again:

Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender
Broforce
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (see the review)
GRIP (see the GOG releases 5 new arcade racing titles article)
Guns, Gore & Cannoli
Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 (see the GOG releases article for both games)
LEGO Batman: The Videogame
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (see the GOG Releases: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment wave article for the three LEGO titles)
LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes (see the GOG release news)
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Premium Edition
Never Alone Arctic Collection (see the review)
Nex Machina (see the review)
Overcooked: Gourmet Edition (see the Epic Games Store free game: “Overcooked” article)
Overcooked! 2 Gourmet Edition (see the Epic Games Store free games: “Hell is Other Demons” and “Overcooked! 2” article)
POD Gold
Rad Rodgers Radical Edition (see the review)
Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour (see the game release news)
Serious Sam: The First Encounter (see the GOG free game: “Serious Sam: The First Encounter” + Harvest Sale article)
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (see the Humble Weekly Sale: Serious Sam article)
Spelunky (see the review)
Wacky Wheels

Some of these titles bring back some hilarious, some frustating, but all memorable moments for me, and there are many games on my wishlist to review, too. The exciting split-screen and co-op games sale only runs until tomorrow, April 25, 2022, at 1 PM UTC.
