Game release: “Furi – The Onnamusha” DLC (PC, PS4, PS5)

The Game Bakers‘ boss rush brawler Furi gets even more challenging with the The Onnamusha DLC.

Back in 2017 I covered the original game in this release news, which should give you an idea of how long it took for the DLC to arrive. Unfortunately, there isn’t much PR material for the new content, so I’ll just to go with what I’ve read and seen in motion.

The main formula remains the same: beating powerful bosses in one-on-one fights, only this time with the Onnamusha Rider who has two different fight stances and who can unleash the power of the Star. That’s basically it, but looking at the trailer and screenshots, combat is as fluid and exciting as ever, even if there isn’t much of a story or character development.

The DLC is out now on PC, PS4 and PS5 with a 50% discount for the base game (only for the PC version) that lasts until May 24, 2022, at 1 PM UTC. Anyone expecting an Xbox edition will have to wait, as there isn’t one yet despite the original being available on that platform.
