Deep Silver Fishlabs and Deep Silver‘s sci-fi space combat shooter Chorus speeds through DRM-free territory on GOG.

Chorus is a great example of how an epic quest for redemption can be told with a bombastic presentation. Playing as ace pilot Nara as well as her sentinent AI companion and starfighter, Forsaken, one tries to shake off her troubled military past and bring the galaxy to a more peaceful future. This obviously means a lot of fighting, in this case with resistance forces against the Circle and the Great Prophet.

So far, so Star Wars, but in a good way. Having a living and breathing ship is already quite weird, but adding various upgrades to it gives the game a cyberpunk feeling that somehow works. The dogfights are certainly impressive to behold, and in a time when space shooters have become rather rare, every single release is to be recommended, especially if it looks this great.

Chorus was originally released in December 2021 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 50% launch discount that lasts until June 27, 2022, at 9:59 PM UTC. There’s also the The Elder Armor Skin Set which adds a few cosmetic touches and has the same discount.
