kamichichi and Kagura Games‘ sci-fi anime RPG Apostle: Rebellion is big on many things.

Even being a Kagura title, the chest sizes of the female cast are enormously proportioned, something akin to Kung Fu Grand King (see the game release news), but thankfully it’s not all about this, as the game actually features a pretty elaborate background story. It takes place in the cyberpunk city of Neo-Eden in the year 2200, as normal humans have almost become outdated by the Roids, a mix of humans and machines, resulting in social inequality that ultimately leads to war, although in this case it’s against interdimensional monsters.

So yes, it’s probably not the most logical story in the sci-fi universe, even as far as convoluted anime stories go, but it’s still an interesting concept. What follows is turn-based combat with various ways to upgrade specific character skills. It goes without saying that romance plays a part, too, which obviously explains the unrated version.

The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that lasts until tomorrow, August 6, 2022, at 4 AM UTC. There’s also a free unrated patch.
