Game releases: “Flashout 3D: Enhanced Edition” and “Flashout 3” (PC)

Jujubee S.A.‘s arrival of sci-fi racer Flashout 3 is celebrated with Flashout 3D: Enhanced Edition as a freebie.

Flashout 3D: Enhanced Edition is based on the original game that was released in 2012 and is clearly inspired by the WipeOut series which can be seen with the breakneck speed in which the futuristic vehicles move around corners and shoot each other with outlandish weapons, accompanied by a techno soundtrack.

Thanks to improved graphics, adding more visual effects and animations, the game still looks pretty. A remastered intro, gamepad as well as vibrations support, in addition to a new user interface and other tweaks, enhance the experience.

Flashout 3 continues the hyper-speed tradition of its predecessors (the second game is included as a bonus on GOG, BTW) by offering players the chance to race on the ground as well as on ceilings while firing away. Loops, jumps, and other sudden changes on the track add to the adrenaline-fuelled excitement.

What could be even more exhilarating? VR and motion simulator support, and if one has the equipment (and stomach) for the latter, it probably beats most theme park rides. Of course one can still have a lot of fun with the split-screen multiplayer mode, too.

Both games are now available on PC, with the first game being a freebie and the third one having a 10% launch discount that lasts until tomorrow, September 29, 2022, at 4 PM UTC.
