GOG free game: “Narita Boy”

Black Friday has arrived on GOG with a special sale as well as Studio Koba and Team17‘s sci-fi action-adventure Narita Boy as a giveaway.

Narita Boy was already featured in this game release news and it’s a nice gesture from the DRM-free store, as it promotes the 80ies with some nostalgic gameplay. For those who grew up with the Tron movie, the story about a man who made a videogame console and whose memories are slowly deleted by the antagonist Him might sound a bit familiar. The stylish sword-fighting in neon pixel art backgrounds is accompanied by a cool synth soundtrack, but there’s obviously much more going on with the meta-fictional background story.

Narita Boy can be downloaded for free until tomorrow, November 25, 2022, while the Black Friday sale lasts until November 30, 2022, at 11 PM UTC. If one can’t quite decide which games to pick, there’s a fun quiz one can take on GOG.
