Collecting in October 2022 was great for comics as well as some gaming and movie-relating additions.

Both Retrogamer and EDGE magazines featured some rather cool exclusive subscriber covers.

I don’t understand why the special bookazines one buys individually via the Magazines Direct shop results in shipping orders only taking a week or so and the subscriptions a month.

How could I pass up on Princess Leia as a LEGO figure and Han Solo as a trading card?

The novelization collection is complete for now.

October was obviously the month of Halloween, and this autobiography by The Queen of Halloween was a delightful book to read with some touching as well as humorous anecdotes.

I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to attend this UK film festival, but the guides are always a joy to dive into cult classics.

More epic tales in comic book form.

I’ve heard and read great things about this 1000+ pages book (and I loved the short-lived Telltale Games title back in the days).

Speaking of epic: When will this manga saga finally end?

Claudio Sanchez, the front man/singer/songwriter of Coheed and Cambria, knows how to pick some strange graphic novel ideas.

Halloween time means telling or reading scary stories, and this Simpsons Omnibus was a lot of fun to read, especially since it’s been ages since I watched any TV episode.

It’s not only a heavy tome to carry (and put on the shelf), but it also offers multiple covers to choose from (which also glow in the dark).

There’s still room for some (smaller) board games or titles that can be played with two players.

October was a pretty diverse month for collecting, and it was also one in which I could read quite a bit of what I had bought, something that doesn’t seem to be working out in November… but we’ll see!

Like the Commodore 64 cover for Edge Magazine! Those Conan Epic Collections are good as well, I’ve got those.
I think you mean the Retrogamer magazine ;-)? Yes, some covers are pretty cool, although I still prefer knowing the content of the individual mags on the front cover. I’m quite happy to have gotten hold of all Conan Epic Collections so far, as some are OOP (same with The Punisher).
Oh yes, that’s right. sorry I was reading a post about that as well. Yes, it’s an awesome cover, brings back happy memories as that was my first computer gaming experience really. I really like the Epic Collections, they are always great value for money as well. I go an Iron Man one the other week, the return of Tony Stark, been enjoying reading that.
