Game release: “The Knight Witch” (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch)

Super Mega Team and Team17‘s metroidvania shooter The Knight Witch combines a beautiful presentation with frantic gameplay.

Team17 really knows how to pick some amazing-looking titles with fun mechanics to boot, and this one is no different. As one goes on a quest to save one’s home and find out the reason for the War Golem invasion, everything goes boom in beautiful colors on the way.

One doesn’t only shoot, but uses spell cards to defeat enemies in bullet hell-like environments. If all the various abilities weren’t enough, then one can even make friends on the journey across Dungeonidas, because one’s actions have repercussions on the land and people. With hand-drawn graphics looking this good, there’s no way one can turn down this game if one likes the genre (and anime).

The game is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch with a 10% launch discount that lasts until December 6, 2022, at 2 PM UTC. It’s also available in a deluxe edition which includes the soundtrack and is 20% off its original price at the moment, too.
