GOG release: “WarForwards”

Roman Pak and Meridian4‘s military top-down shooter WarForwards gets close-quarters combat personal on GOG.

WayForwards is openly promoted to be inspired by the John Wick movie, which might explain the fast-paced and often bloody action on-screen. The premise is quite ludicrous, though, as one is trained in the titular military academy with the only way out to kill or be killed.

Both close-quarters combat and distance weapons are used to engage the enemy and come out victorious. While there is a story, it’s obvious that the real deal is the survival mode. Having over 70 weapons to unlock and customize with a perk system just shows how much love has been put into this old-school shooting experience, even if the big breasted anime characters feel a bit out of place.

WayForwards was originally released in August 2019 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 60% launch discount that lasts until January 31, 2023, at 2 PM UTC.
