Game release: “Mahokenshi” (PC)

Game Source Studio and Iceberg Interactive‘s fantasy strategy RPG Mahokenshi is proof that the genre still has plenty of unique visuals and gameplay ideas on offer.

As the protector of the floating Celestial Islands from corrupting influences, one can choose between different kinds of factions: the House of Sapphire, Topaz, Ruby, or Jade which each has an elemental spirit with its own play style.

While the combat is turn-based, it’s also connected to a card-building process, with 200 of them to discover. In a way, it’s reminiscent of the Heroes of Might and Magic games, but with a modern twist. Of course there’s plenty to find on the beautiful 3D maps, including treasures and NPCs to help out.

The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that lasts until January 31, 2023, at 2 PM UTC.
