Game release: “PERISH” (PC)

ITEM42 and HandyGames‘s hellish FPS PERISH is both epic and brutal in its presentation and gameplay.

Sometimes, one word says so much more than longer titles, and in this case, it means fighting through hordes of horrific creatures in Purgatory to reach Elysium by selling their golden corpses to priests. As a corporeal spirit who is forced to live in the halfway realm of the place, there’s no other way, though, with the journey taking it to various Dismal Lords that have to be defeated.

I already mentioned the game in the Past gaming events: gamescom 2022 (quick overview with social media) article and was quite taken by its fast-paced and often gory action. Of course nothing has changed in this department thanks to some great creature design and bloody ways to dispose of enemies. Being able to play the game with 3 more people should add to the fun, too.

The game is out now on PC with a 10% launch discount that lasts until February 9, 2023, at 11 PM UTC. There’s also a special Gore promo sale on GOG which has some great offers of similarly violent and cool titles.
