Epic Games Store‘s new freebies are SomaSim/Kasedo Games‘s crime management tycoon game City of Gangsters and Arkane Studios/Bethesda‘s stealth-action title Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.

City of Gangsters was briefly discussed in the game release news of the “Criminal Record” DLC and is basically about building an empire of crime from 1920 onwards. Thanks to the Prohibition, illegally working behind the scenes is part of the business plan.

Smuggling as well as eliminating the opposition have to be taken into consideration, too, while the Law shouldn’t be misjudged, either. There’s certainly a lot to work on before the year of 1933 brings an end to the Prohibition and the flow of money and power.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider was already given some news treatment in this GOG releases article, while the first game was part of an Epic Games Store freebie bundle. Playing as killer-for-hire Billie Lurk, disposing of the titular god-like figure is the name of the game.

Suffice it to say that what follows is a tour de force with some nauseating first-person sequences and brutal fight scenes, although killing in the shadows and using special forces to traverse the open spaces are rewarding enough for multiple playthroughs.
Both games can now be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until February 9, 2023, at 5:00 PM.
