Epic Games Store‘s new freebie of the week is Proxy Studios and Slitherine Ltd.‘s 4X turn-based strategy game Warhammer 40.000: Gladius – Relics of War.
Warhammer 40.000: Gladius – Relics of War was already featured in this game release news and is another entry in the virtual tabletop adaptation series, this time taking on the 4X genre. As a great evil was awakened during the colonization of Gladius Prime with the discovery of ancient artifacts, the four factions Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orks or Necrons face a trial of survival.
Being able to play the different factions doesn’t only mean alternative storylines, but obviously unique abilities and therefore play styles because of their individual technology trees. As is the case with all Warhammer titles, the presentation is as bombastic as it can be, despite a focus on more celebral work on the part of the player.
The game can now be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until March 23, 2023, at 5:00 PM.
