Nihon Falcom and NIS America‘s sci-fi anime RPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure arrives on PC with some very enticing bundles.

It’s been three years since the game release of “The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III”, but that’s probably nothing compared to the waiting time fans of JRPGs sometimes have to endure before these receive localizations. Be it as it may, the newest entry in the series is about the Special Support Section (a group of students, obviously) that fight against the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard, because these threaten the peace of Crossbell.

Confusing storyline aside, especially if one hasn’t played the predecessor Trails from Zero, what follows is some rather epic and emotional storytelling with a military backdrop that only loses a bit of credibility due to its big-eyed anime characters. This doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of strategic combat fun to be had, and being able to have one’s own customizable car could be another USP.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in both digital and retail form (only the console versions, though). PC gamers receive something special, as the Launch Week Bundle includes the soundtrack and a digital art book. GOG customers have an even sweeter deal, because they get classic JRPG Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator for free. This title recently got its own Digital Deluxe Edition with Soundtrack update, too. All offers only last until tomorrow, March 21st, 5 PM UTC.
