GOG releases 8 classic D&D games from SNEG

GOG’s Spring Sale offers a nostalgic glance back at classic fantasy with 8 Dungeons & Dragons titles from SNEG.

Those who are a bit confused about why there’s no link for the publisher are right, because it’s intrinsically linked to GOG and its acquisition of various SSI (Strategic Simulations Inc.) titles. It was a company well-known for some excellent RPGs in the past and of course brought the Dungeons & Dragons universe into digital gaming form.

Without going too much into detail (especially with too many other games to cover), here’s simply a list of the new DRM-free additions and their respective trailers below.

Cybertech’s adventure/strategy/RPG mix Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace

Lion Entertainment’s dungeon crawler DeathKeep

Westwood Associates’s dragon simulator DragonStrike

Silicon Knights’s Dungeon Master-led adventure Fantasy Empires

Strategic Simulations‘s Silver Box Classics collection (includes Heroes of the Lance, Dragons of Flame, War of the Lance, and Shadow Sorcerer)

All eight games are now available DRM-free on GOG with individual launch discounts that last until April 3, 2023, at 10 PM UTC.
