Past gaming events: gamescom 2023 (quick overview with social media)

After devcom 2023, there was even more gaming content to discover during gamescom 2023, so much so that twittering about all the releases became harder work than running from one press appointment to the next.

The social media overview of devcom 2023 was already tricky to pull off with one great talk after another, but what gamescom had to offer in the Indie Arena Booth alone was worth two or more days. Then there were obviously the AAA titles which were sometimes surprisingly inventive.

As you can see, the sheer number of trailers and announcements made it nearly impossible to cover all the titles if one had hands-on impressions. And writing the short news thanks to mostly Marchsreiter Communications or Games Press made me think that sharing the latest gaming news via short social media parts could be a new and more up-to-date addition to this blog (with apparently a bit more work).

Be it as it may, of course I would have loved to be at gamescom on-site, meeting developers, publishers, PR and other people. Maybe, just as with devcom, this will become possible in the future once again.
