New additions to the media collection in March 2024

Collecting in March 2024 meant lots of games and a few new movies as well as music CDs.

A 50/50 chance again for exclusive covers and replacements… in case of Retrogamer even one for a damaged issue. Yes, subscriptions are still handled pretty badly…

Bitmap Books is without a doubt THE retro gaming company to go for when ordering books with great packaging, easy shipping, fair prices, and simply stunning titles.

Now the good guys Nintendo Mario collection should be complete with plush toys.

Speaking of the Japanese company, my wife and I added many titles to the Nintendo Switch shelves. Despite usually being remasters, it’s still nice to have the games on the go… whenever we’ll be able to have the time for that.

Can’t go wrong with a fun LEGO game, especially when it includes all three trilogies with a next gen presentation.

I ordered many of these games via MediaMarkt, and these gummy bears were a nice if rather cheap gift.

This boardgame was already featured in the Happy Easter 2024 article (the movie later in the appropriate section of this article), but the LEGO seasonal presents weren’t.

Time for some bedtime stories for Sebastian… although I’ll skip the Encanto parts (see Disney+ watchlist: December 2021).

How did this cool Marvel thing happen? It’s very light on story, though…

Can’t get enough of EC comics, especially of the horror variety.

While not being a big fan of anime in general, there are a few (in addition to Studio Ghibli) I’ll give a(nother) chance or discover.

With so many Terry Pratchett books, I hope more movie adaptations will make it in the future.

Another mediabook, but of a different genre. A thriller with Buffy/Angel actress Charisma Carpenter could be… interesting.

It’s not in the correct genre word order, but ending this movie list with the latest Evil Dead horror flick (that will probably make it in for Halloween) and as an Happy Easter 2024 present is pretty nice.

Four Year Strong remain a very catchy but also hardcore heavy rock band that is lots of fun to listen to.

Weezer still knows how to do some cool college rock songs, this time with a heavy metal influence.

It’s not Christmas yet, but this soundtrack should make it into all-time classics. Too bad the movie is only available in digital form…

Last month was definitely a very interesting one with various media formats that didn’t need a lot of shelf space… nothing compared to what April has brought to the collecting table so far…
