GOG release: “God’s Trigger”

One More Level and Techland‘s hack-and-slash shooter God’s Trigger makes its DRM-free debut on GOG.

The current Made in Poland sale on GOG doesn’t only offer the gory action-platformer BUTCHER as a freebie (see yesterday’s article) that is still available for a few hours, but includes God’s Trigger in its DRM-free release, too. It was already an Epic Games Store freebie, and I also covered it in the Gamescom 2017, Part 1: Public Area, Hall 8 article, so I’ll keep this as short as possible.

One plays either angel Harry or demon Judy (each with their own special abilities and weapons that can be leveled up) to stop the apocalypse, which means hacking, slashing, and shooting one’s way through hordes of enemies, leaving behind dead bodies and blood everywhere, just as in Hotline Miami. One can switch between both characters on the fly or play it in the co-op mode, which might boost one’s chance of survival considerably.

The game was originally released in April last year and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 60% launch discount that lasts until November 23, 2020, at 2 PM UTC. One can either buy the standard edition or O.M.G. edition, the latter of which including an art book, the soundtrack, wallpapers, and a digital comic book.
