Game release: “Jack Holmes: Master of Puppets” (PC, PS5)

@TonyDevGame‘s weird and wonderful survival horror FPS Jack Holmes: Master of Puppets is literally a very crazy ride.

There are simply not enough games that take place in an amusement park, especially horror titles. Granted, The Park did it in the walking simulator genre, while classic FPS Blood: Fresh Supply had some very fun sections in that area, too. Maybe Painkiller: Black Edition comes as close to this experience as possible with its few on-ride shooting segments. Be it as it may, the story here is quite different, as one plays the titular every day man who is forced to return to his family business he had disowned as a child.

Of course things soon turn out to be very creepy. Just as in the popular Five Nights At Freddy’s games (and the resurgence with a few movies taking the amusement park concept into horror territory), animatronics come to life, and it’s not just puppets that roam around the park. Despite having a tragic story at its heart, the focus is still on some good old FPS action in addition to crazy mini-games that fit environment.

The game is out now on PC and PS5 with a 25% launch discount (but only for the PC version) that lasts until tomorrow, May 3, 2024, at 7 AM UTC.
