Epic Games Store free games: “Cat Quest II” and “Orcs Must Die! 3”

Epic Games Store‘s latest freebies are The Gentlebros/Kepler Interactive‘s cute action-RPG Cat Quest II and Robot Entertainment‘s tower-defense action game Orcs Must Die! 3.

Cat Quest II was already covered in the GOG releases: “Cat Quest I+II” article and the first title was given away on the Epic Games Store last year. The sequel still remains a title for lovers of cats and puns.

Of course there’s some fun hack-and-slash RPG gameplay, too, especially with the multiplayer mode. Maybe it’s a little unfair to say it’s just for fans of the feline kind, because the other playable character is a dog, making for an unlikely hero duo on a quest.

Orcs Must Die! 3 continues the series that started in 2011, offering the same but refined and visually arresting gameplay of defending oneself against the hordes of orcs with powerful spells and weapons.

While there is a campaign story, it’s clear that the focus is still on various maps, in this case the newly added War Scenarios in which even more orc armies invade the screen. With more traps, weapons, and upgrades, there’s plenty of firepower to get them off the screen for sure.

Both games can now be added to the Epic Games Store account for free until tomorrow, May 9, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
