It’s difficult to keep up with all the episodic games Telltale Games have recently released, but the company doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon to announce more titles, one among them being Batman.
Based on the DC comics and with no official title yet, the trailer doesn’t reveal much, either. I haven’t been a great fan of Christopher Nolan’s movies, so hopefully this will be much better. Considering that Telltale Games did great things with The Walking Dead: Season 1 (the second one I still haven’t played and reviewed yet) in addition to A Wolf Among Us, this could become something very special indeed.
The Lego Batman games have shown what one can do with the comic book licence and what Rocksteady did with the Arkham titles even surpassed any movies. So hopefully this will turn out to be another great addition, especially considering that Telltale Games knows how to do QTEs and some investigation gameplay with memorable characters and mature storytelling.
There haven’t been any details on gameplay or story yet, but the possibilities with such a rich history and encompassing lore of the Batman universe will surely be the next big thing. More details will be revealed soon, as the game series will launch in 2016.
