SFB Games‘ puzzlers Detective Grimoire, Tangle Tower, and Haunt the House: Terrortown have finally made their DRM-free appearance on GOG.

Detective Grimoire, released in August 2014, is a classic mystery point-and-clicker about the titular investigator who is looking for the murderer of a small tourist attraction’s owner deep in the swamps.

Inspecting the crime scene, interrogating suspects, solving puzzles, and finding clues is obviously the order of the day. Of course one has to connect the dots, and as the characters are all a bit weird, this won’t be easy.
Tangle Tower came out in October 2019 and again features detective Grimoire, although this time he has to find out who murdered the painter Freya Fellow, with the only suspect so far being the painting itself.

Of course there’s more to the story than meets the eye, in this special case the Tangle Tower where all sorts of people have their little secrets to hide and tell. The gameplay remains the same, though: interrogation, deduction, and solving a few puzzles along the way.

Haunt the House: Terrortown was released in June 2014 and is quite a departure from the other two adventure games, as it’s a mix of side-scrolling action and puzzle mechanics, tasking the player to scare people out of all sorts of places.

It sounds a bit similar to Ghost Master (see my review) which came out over a decade earlier, but was more like a chaotic if fun strategy title. Here one only plays one ghost that can possess objects to give people the heebie jeebies before the end of the night.
All three games are now available DRM-free on GOG with individual launch discounts that last until January 19, 2022, at 2 PM UTC.
