Game update: “No Man’s Sky: Beyond”

Hello Games‘s open-world sci-fi exploration-adventure-mix No Man’s Sky receives a big free update with Beyond.

No Man’s Sky is probably the biggest and most controversial game when it comes to how crowdfunding was handled, as so many promises were made and not kept, at least in the beginning. But after years of communicating with the fans and improving on all sorts of features, the newest addition certainly proves that there’s still life left in the game that looks wonderful, especially for those who are interested to experience it in VR.

In addition to bringing people together from all across the virtual universe, VR support is the biggest game changer, while there are so many other fixes and changes that it’s impossible to comment on them all (especially since I’ve never played the first or latest version of the game yet, but only wrote about the original release). So here’s what’s new or improved: VR user Interface, VR user interactions, VR controller support, 16-32 multiplayer, multiplayer missions, ambient multiplayer, a new social hub, new traveller NPCs, dynamic NPCs, alien languages, new alien encounters, technology trees, gameplay balance, discovery page overhaul, planetary charts, creature taming/riding/milking, cooking & recipes, cooler aliens, improved base building, power & logic & industrial bases, optimization, starship enhancements, first-person exocraft driving, Vulkan, PC graphics options, expanded controller support, sitting, version 2.0.

To celebrate the release of the free update, there’s a 50% discount on the original game that will last until August 21st, 5 PM UTC.
