GOG release: “Before Your Eyes”

GoodbyeWorld Games and Skybound Games‘ first-person narrative adventure game Before Your Eyes makes blinking one’s eyes an eye-opening experience.

Before Your Eyes doesn’t only offer a unique and emotional story about the player showing parts of his or her life to the afterlife ferryman, but a new way of how these often heartbreaking moments are presented: by using the webcam.

The premise is quite ingenious, as one only sees these life memories as long as one keeps one’s eyes open, with the webcam tracking them. So each time one blinks, one will be transported to the next scene. Despite obviously telling a pre-set story, being immersed in this kind of way certainly paves a new way for the interactive medium that has literally not be seen before.

Before Your Eyes was originally released in April 2021 and is now available DRM-free on GOG with a 20% launch discount that lasts until October 5, 2021, at 2 PM UTC.
