10tons‘ hack-and-slash roguelite Skeletal Avenger requires a lot of using one’s head.

Anyone who thinks the introductory description hints at a more cerebral puzzler or adventure game should rest easy, as it’s literally the head of the skeletal hero one throws around in order to defeat enemies in procedurally generated dungeons and take revenge on one’s own death.

It’s not just one but different skeletons one can choose from, each with their own skills and perks that can be upgraded. Having a local co-op mode with 2 to 4 players obviously increases the fun and chaos that ensues when all the heads (or rather headgear one wears) are used as weapons and the screen is filled with explosions.

The game is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with a 25% launch discount that lasts until October 6, 2021, at 1 PM UTC.
