Overview of (blog) life in October 2017

Before we move on to news that have been somewhat delayed due to all the Halloween madness, let’s have a quick look back at what else October had to offer in blogging.

The overview of (blog) life in September 2017 had to wait for almost 10 days, the Netflix watchlist: September 2017 followed two days later, while the new additions to the media collection in September 2017 arrived in the middle of October.

The reason for this was that a lot of time was spent on the rest of the Gamescom 2017 coverage, with the final two articles covering the last public area hall:

Gamescom 2017, Part 6: Public Area, Hall 10.2
Gamescom 2017, Part 7: Public Area, Hall 10.1

Of course there were more game releases, but due to the aforementioned preparation for Halloween, only a few articles made it:

Cuphead
A Hat in Time
Raiden V: Director’s Cut
RUINER
SteamWorld Dig 2
Vaporum
Yono and the Celestial Elephants

GOG coverage was only about 8 new SNK classics and the
PC game “Dungeon 2” free with GOG pre-order of “Dungeons 3”.

One special week of Halloween gaming was stressful, but it was worth it, as these titles were truly terrifying, with only the first game providing a relaxed and fun time without gore and jump-scares:

The Darkside Detective
The Last Door: Season 1
The Last Door: Season 2
Layers of Fear
Layers of Fear: Inheritance

Outlast II

The same held true with movie reviews that made the final week before the witching hour scary and fun:

The Conjuring 1+2
Feast 1-3
From Dusk Till Dawn 1-3
Idle Hands
Insidious 1-3
Monster Man
Underworld 1-5

At the moment I’m working on two (!) other gaming/movie weeks, so let’s hope everything works out with time management, although you will probably only see one this month. So back to gaming/watching/writing…
